Weekend Preview at Willmar

(WAUSAU, WI) – The Cyclones hit the road this weekend to take on the Willmar WarHawks. Puck drops at 7:10pm both nights and streams on NAHLTV. Wausau enters the weekend with a 27-7-0-1 record, which puts us in first- place in the Central Division, and Willmar WarHawks enters the weekend with a 11-24-2-0 record. Willmar sits in fifth place in the West Division. In the match up against these two teams back in November the Clones won 7-2 and 2-1.

What to Watch For

Wausau Defensemen Issac Baker recently was called to play with the Springfield Jr. Blues in the NAHL. Baker now has 6 goals and 35 assists in 33 games. He is now 5th in points on the team and 2nd in the league for defensemen. John Kriz had a stellar weekend against Peoria, scoring 3 goals and 2 assists. He now has 18 goals and 25 assists in 35 games. 

Between the Pipes

Wausau is expected to start Collin Lemanski in net Friday. Lemanski has a 2.23 GAA and .935 save percentage in 21 games. His record is currently 16-4-0-1 this year and the 16 wins has him tied for 2nd in the league. Tanner Bonjernoor is expected to start Saturday. Bonjernoor has a save percentage of .909 and 2.58 GAA.
