Weekend Preview vs West Bend

Oct 10, 2023

(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones are set to take on the West Bend Power this Friday at 7:30pm on the road and Saturday at 7:10pm in Wausau as we open up our 2023-24 season home schedule. Both games are available on NAHLTV. Wausau completed an impressive sweep of Peoria last weekend, which moved their record to 4-3-0-0. West Bend enters the weekend with a 5-1-0-1 record after losing a pair of games to Oregon.

What to Watch For

Wausau has had an excellent start to their season in terms of goal differential. The Clones have allowed the fewest goals in all of the Central Division and have scored the 2nd most goals, trailing just the first place West Bend Power. The match up this weekend will be a good measuring stick for Wausau as they finally conclude the eight-road trip to start the season and get an opportunity to play in front of their home fans Saturday night.

Between the Pipes

Wausau is expected to start Collin Lemanski in net this weekend. Lemanski put together a pair of outstanding performances last weekend. He stopped 63 of 66 shots. He currently has a 1.60 GAA and .950 save percentage.
