Series Preview vs West Bend

Sep 23, 2025

(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones had a heck of a road series to begin their 2025-26 regular season by earning the largest comeback win in franchise history (4 goals) to help start the season 2-0-0-0. West Bend enters the weekend 3-1-0-0 after a series split with St. Louis. Wausau will look to continue their outstanding home ice advantage this season that has been created under the leadership of Head Coach Nathan Oystrick over the last two regular seasons. Wausau is a remarkable 37-7 during that timeframe. Puck drops at 7:10pm on Friday and Saturday on NAHLTV and doors open at 6:10pm.

What to Watch For

Wausau got outstanding scoring punch from their veteran returners Brady Knutsen and Eiji Hofmann versus the Woodsmen (5 goals, 3 assists combined) and will need more of the same against a skilled Power roster. This weekend watch for the rookies to produce in front of their Clones friendly home crowd. A couple of names to watch are Jackson Schroeder, Jackson Maddock and Elijah Von Gunten, who combined for 10 points in their first junior hockey action last weekend.

Between the Pipes

Wausau is projected to split time between Brady Faille and Tanner Bonjernoor in net this weekend. Faille allowed just 1 goal on 12 shots last weekend. Bonjernoor allowed 7 goals in 76 minutes of action versus Wisconsin.
