Wausau, WI – The Cyclones have signed goalie Hayden Van Gilder to 2026-27 season tender agreement. Van Gilder spent his high school hockey career with Rice Lake High School. During his senior season he had a 3.65 GAA .927 save percentage in 21 games. Van Gilder was named USHS-WI (Big Rivers) All-Conference 1st Team, USHS-WI (WHCA) Best Goalie (D2) and Team Wisconsin NIT Selection.
“Hayden had a tremendous high school career and was recently voted as the Best Goalie (D-2) in Wisconsin High School Hockey and we couldn’t be more excited that he decided to sign in Wausau. Hayden is an athletic goalie, who competes on every shot, and reads the play extremely well. He has tremendous composure and framing skills between the pipes, and his personality off the ice will add to the culture we’ve established in Wausau,” stated Head Coach/GM of Hockey Operations Nathan Oystrick.
