(WAUSAU, WI)- After a successful series sweep of Peoria to open the season the Cyclones will play a lone game this Friday at Tomah. The Woodmen opened the season last weekend versus St. Louis and saw them win in OT 4-3 and lose a shootout 5-4. Wausau was a perfect 10-0 versus Wisconsin a year ago, including sweeping a two-game playoff series. Puck drops at 7:15pm Friday on NAHLTV.com.
What to Watch For
Coming off a hat-trick in the 3rd period last Saturday forward Owen Gohm proved he has the ability to provide offensive power at the junior level. Another interesting development from last weekend was the contributions by the rookies. Micah Saxson, Jake Garrow, Eiji Hofmann, Owen Gohn, Brady Knutsen and Truman Zerse all contributed two or more points on the weekend.
Between the Pipes
Wausau is expected to start Tanner Bonjernoor in net this weekend. Bonjernoor was outstanding earning a shutout on 22 shots last weekend.
