(WAUSAU, WI) – Wausau will have their final overnight road trip of the regular season this weekend in Rochester, Minnesota with four important points up for grabs. Wausau enters the weekend 21-14-1-0 (2nd place) and Grizzlies are 19-15-1-0 (4th place). Wausau has 43 points and Rochester comes into the weekend with 39. The Cyclones currently lead the season series three games to one. This weekend puck drops at 7pm both Friday and Saturday from the Rochester Rec Center on NAHLTV.
What to Watch For
Wausau has an opportunity to clinch their 3rd consecutive playoff appearance this weekend via a couple of different scenarios. Wausau can clinch as early as Friday night with a win and Woodsmen loss in regulation versus Peoria. If the Woodsmen win Friday Wausau could still clinch on Saturday night with win versus Rochester and then turn their attention to focusing on claiming home ice advantage in the first round of the NA3HL playoffs.
