Weekend Preview vs St. Louis

(WAUSAU, WI) – The Cyclones take on the St. Louis Jr. Blues at Marathon Park Friday and Saturday night in a Central Division matchup. Puck drops at 7:10pm both nights and streams on NAHLTV. Wausau enters the weekend with a 29-9-0-1 record, which puts us tied for first place in the Central Division. St. Louis enters the weekend with a 8-27-1-3 record, which puts them in sixth place in the Central Division. In the last four meetings of these teams Wausau has a record of 3-1. This will be the last time these teams play against each other this season.

What to Watch For

Wausau looks to bounce back after a tough couple of losses to West Bend. Forward John Kriz had one goal and one assist against West Bend. Kriz now has 19 goals and 26 assists putting him in 3rd on the team and 21st in the league. Wausau currently has a 29.49% power play percentage and has 64 power play goals. They are first in the league for power play percentage and goals. If the Cyclones get on the power play, watch for their scoring punch to come alive this weekend.

Between the Pipes

Wausau is expected to start Collin Lemanski in net Friday. Lemanski has a 2.28 GAA and .935 save percentage in 25 games. His record is currently 18-6-0-1 this year and the 18 wins has him at 3rd in the league. Tanner Bonjernoor is expected to start Saturday. Bonjernoor has a save percentage of .909 and 2.58 GAA.
