NA3HL Showcase Preview

(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones head to Blaine, Minnesota for the NA3HL Showcase looking to put together a solid couple of days in front NAHL and college scouts. This evening the Cyclones take on the (24-1-0-0) Gillette Wild at 6:45pm. Monday, December 18th, the Cyclones take on the Norwich Sea Captains at 3:45pm and conclude the showcase Tuesday versus the Alexandria Blizzard at 12:30pm. All games are available via NAHLTV.com.

What to Watch For

Watch for some feeling out of unfamiliar opponents early on at the NA3HL Showcase. Wausau will be facing Gillette and Norwich for the first time in their team history. The Cyclones battle a white out Gillette team to open the Showcase on a 20-game win streak, who leads the league in scoring with 160 goals. Gillette ranks 11th in goals allowed. Norwich ranks 13th in scoring with 86 goals scored in 24 games. The Sea Captains rank 12th in goals allowed. Alexandria is 19th in scoring and 10th in goals allowed. The Wild are led by Adam Severson with 64 points, which also leads the entire league. Brian Essing leads the Sea Captains with 13 goals in 23 games played. Justin Wasvick is the Blizzard top scorer with 12 goals and 16 assists.

Between The Pipes

Cyclones are expected to split up the showcase games between their three goalies. Combined Collin Lemanski, Brady Faille and Tanner Bonjernoor have a .935 save percentage and goals against average of 2.13.
