“We are extremely excited to start playing games. We have been hard at work for the last couple weeks, getting the guys acclimated to Wausau and our organization. Although we lost a lot of key players from last season’s highly successful team, we are very confident with the players we have returning and the players we were able to recruit and bring to Wausau, we will once again be fighting for a playoff spot and hopefully a Fraser Cup at the end of March. The Wausau Cyclones will be a team that competes every single night and a team that plays with a lot of intensity and pace. We have a lot of talent up and down our lineup, and a lot of guys who are hungry to win. As a coaching staff we will have hard lineup decisions to make every single game, which is never a bad thing. Competition within our team will make every one of our players stronger and help with their development. We look forward to seeing all our fans out at Marathon Park Ice Arena and we can’t wait to show them why the Wausau Cyclones are the best ticket in town,” stated Head Coach Nathan Oystrick.
