RiverWolves Drop Second Straight Game Against North Iowa Bulls

(Wausau, WI)- The Wausau RiverWolves and North Iowa Bulls met at Marathon Park Ice Area Saturday night for game two of the weekend series.  North Iowa came into Saturday’s game in sole possession of first place in the Central Division with 35 points and with a record of 16-0-2-1.

The RiverWolves took their second loss in a row to Central Division leaders and rival’s the North Iowa Bulls from Mason City, Iowa.  The Bulls scored two goals in the first period one at the 1:10 mark and the other at the 19:36 mark.  Wausau’s lone goal also came in the first period of tonight’s game at the 12:51 mark.  Scoring for the RiverWolves was Matt Irwin who notched his 9th goal of the season.  In goal for the 2nd consecutive night was Hudson, Wisconsin native Henry Baribeau.  Henry had himself a career high night for shots on goal, stopping 57 out of 60 shots.

The Wausau RiverWolves hit the road next weekend to Mason City, Iowa to take on the North Iowa Bulls for another two game weekend series.  The RiverWolves will be back at home on December 8th 9th and 10th for an 3 game set, puck drops at 7pm all three nights.
