Weekend Preview vs Oregon

(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones take on the Oregon Tradesmen this weekend in a home and home series. Friday’s contest is on the home ice and Saturday night is at Oregon. Puck drops at 7:10pm Friday and Saturday begins at 7:30pm on NAHLTV. Wausau enters the weekend with an 10-5-0-0 record, which is good for 3rd place in the Central Division and first place Oregon enters the weekend with a 12-2-0-0 record.

What to Watch For

After a four-point weekend versus Willmar forward Gabe Randel has entered the top five in points in the entire NA3HL. In 15 games this season Randel has been held of the scoresheet just three times. Wausau will need his scoring punch this weekend versus a two loss Oregon team. The Cyclones have the 5th ranked scoring team in the NA3HL and Oregon ranks 8th. Watch for a pair of close games this weekend as the previous two matchups were one goal wins for Oregon. Oregon has a 4-0 record in one goal games this season, while the Cyclones are 2-4 in one goal games.

Between the Pipes

Wausau is expected to start Collin Lemanski and Tanner Bonjernoor in net this weekend. Lemanski has a 1.90 GAA and .939 save percentage in ten games. Bonjernoor sports a 2.50 GAA and .883 save percentage in four games this season.
