(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones begin their 2023-24 season campaign Saturday night at the Tomah Ice Center in Tomah, Wisconsin. Wausau will face their new division opponent in the Wisconsin Woodsmen. Wausau returns 11 players from their 2022-23 squad. Ricky Nelson and Gabe Randel highlight the forward group with a combined 28 goals and 56 assists last season. Saturday’s game and all 47 regular season Cyclones games can be watched on NAHLTV.com. 

What to Watch For

Look for the Cyclones to rely on their veteran leaders this weekend with more than half of the roster seeing their first action at the junior level. Two of the veteran leaders include returner Collin Lemanski in net and defenseman Isaac Baker who also brings some offensive punch. Baker netted 5 goals and had 19 assists last season.

Between the Pipes

Wausau is expected to start Collin Lemanski in net Saturday night. Lemanski had a 2.93 GAA in 14 games last season after coming over in a midseason trade.
