Weekend Preview vs Peoria

(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones take on the Peoria Mustangs at Marathon Park this weekend. Puck drops at 7:10pm both nights and streams on NAHLTV. Wausau enters the weekend with an 25-7-0-1 record, which is good for first- place in the Central Division. Fifth place Peoria Mustangs enters the weekend with a 10-21-2-0 record.

What to Watch For

Wausau forward Ricky Nelson started his post-holiday break on fire. Nelson has seven goals and three assists in four games since the break. Nelson also has 15 goals and 25 assists in 29 games, which puts him 3rd in points on the team. With a 14-0 home record the Cyclones are looking to stay undefeated on home ice and have done so in impressive fashion. Wausau has outscored opponents on the home ice 78 – 28. 

Between the Pipes

Wausau is expected to start Collin Lemanski in net Friday. Lemanski has a 2.25 GAA and .936 save percentage in 20 games. His record is currently 15-4-0-1 this year and the 15 wins has him tied for second in the league. Tanner Bonjernoor is expected to start Saturday. Bonjernoor has a save percentage of .907 and 2.67 GAA.
