Weekend Preview March 1st and 2nd

(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones take on the West Bend Power on Friday and the Oregon Tradesmen on Saturday night. Puck drops at 7:30pm Friday night and 7:10pm Saturday night and streams on NAHLTV. Wausau enters the weekend with a 34-10-0-1 record, which is the 7th best record in the NA3HL. West Bend enters the weekend with a 31-11-1-2 record, which puts them in second- place in the Central Division. Oregon enters the weekend with a 31-13-1-0 record, which puts them in third in the Central Division. 

What to Watch For

Wausau forward Ricky Nelson had two goals and two assists over the past weekend. Nelson now has 24 goals and 36 assists putting him in 2nd on the team and 9th in the league for points. Connor Dvorak had two goals and one assist over the weekend. Dvorak now has 27 goals and 41 assists putting him 1st on the team and 4th in the league for points.

Between the Pipes

Wausau is expected to start Collin Lemanski in net Friday. Lemanski has a 2.29 GAA and .935 save percentage in 28 games. His record is currently 20-7-0-1 this year and the 20 wins has him 4th in the league. Tanner Bonjernoor is expected to start Saturday. Bonjernoor has a save percentage of .913 and 2.57 GAA.

Wausau will host the Wisconsin Woodsmen in game one of the Division Semifinals playoff series on March 8th at 7:10pm. Game two will be at Tomah Saturday, March 9th at 7:30pm. If game three is needed Wausau will host the Woodsmen March 10th at 6:10pm. The first 500 fans March 8th will receive a Cyclones playoff rally towel presented by Budweiser.
