Gabe Randel and Isaac Baker called up to NAHL

Wausau, WI – The Wausau Cyclones are proud to announce that forward Gabe Randel and defenseman Isaac Baker have been called up to play in NAHL games this weekend. Randel will join the Rochester Jr. Americans and Baker will join the Springfield Jr. Blues. Rochester takes on Philadelphia at 7:15pm tonight and 7:30pm Saturday. Springfield will face Chippewa at 6:05pm Friday and Saturday night. All games can be seen on NAHLTV.

Randel has 22 goals and 33 assists in 32 games with the Cyclones this season. His 55 points ranks 2nd in all of NA3HL.  Baker has six goals 33 assists in 33 games, which is 13th in points in the NA3HL. It also ranks 1st among all defensemen in the league.

“This is a very deserving opportunity for Gabe, as he has been one of our most consistent and hardest working players for the past two seasons. Combined with his point production, commitment, and leadership qualities, we couldn’t be happier and more excited for him. He continues to strive to be the best player he can be and has earned this opportunity at the next level with the Rochester Jr. Americans,” stated Head Coach & General Manager of Hockey Operations Nathan Oystrick.

“Isaac has been a staple on our backend for the past two seasons and has taken the proper strides necessary to earn this opportunity. As coaches we get to see the effort and attention to detail that he puts in every single day and are extremely excited that he is getting this well-deserved call-up to Springfield,” stated Oystrick.
