Over the past three seasons, Luke has been an invaluable member of our organization, consistently demonstrating outstanding leadership, a strong work ethic, and an unwavering commitment to the development of our players. His passion for the game and dedication to our program have made a lasting impact, and we are confident he is the right person to lead the Cyclones into the future. Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Luke as the next Head Coach of the Wausau Cyclones. We can’t wait to see what this next chapter has in store,” stated Cyclones Hockey Ownership.

“I am honored to have been chosen to be the next Head Coach for the Wausau Cyclones organization. Over the past three seasons as the Assistant Coach, I have learned how well this organization is run and how much the ownership group cares for their players, gameday staff, fans, community and coaches. After having worked with this group of returners and know the potential of the new recruits, I am extremely excited to see what we can do this season. We will continue to play with structure, aggression, and speed. We will compete for our fans every night and continue the winning culture that we have in Wausau. The goals will remain the same. Advancing players to the next level and winning a Fraser Cup. I cannot wait to get this journey started! While I am incredibly excited, I also want to be thankful. I am thankful for having learned from one of the best coaches in the NA3HL, Nathan Oystrick. He laid down the foundation, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to build it. I wish him the best as he travels to Houston to continue his coaching journey and thank him for everything he has taught me. Go Clones,” stated Head Coach & General Manager of Hockey Operations Luke Meyer.
