Aug 19, 2025

Wausau, WI – The Wausau Cyclones are proud to announce that forward Thomas Gerum has committed to play Division III (NCAA) college hockey at Salve Regina University. Gerum, a native of Wausau, Wisconsin scored one goal and contributed 14 assists in nine games in a Cyclone uniform after coming over in a February trade. Gerum scored 28 goals and had 49 assists in 72 career NA3HL games.

“The entire Wausau Cyclones organization is extremely proud of Thomas for his commitment to Salve Regina University. Thomas was only with us for a short while, after a trade deadline move with Granite City, but he was an absolute pleasure to coach and be around. He brought a ton of energy, leadership, and experience to our locker room while playing big minutes in big situations. We look forward to watching his continued growth at the next level and are excited to see what he can accomplish. Best wishes to Thomas as he starts this exciting new chapter,” stated Head Coach Nathan Oystrick.
