Wausau, WI – The Wausau Cyclones have acquired forward Thomas Gerum via trade from the Granite City Lumberjacks in exchange for (2) 2025 tenders and 2025 1st round draft selection. Gerum, a Wausau, WI native joins the Cyclones having netted 11 goals and contributing 19 assists in 28 games this season. Last season with Granite City he scored 16 goals and notched 16 assists in 35 games, while helping the Lumberjacks reach the Fraser Cup Championship Tournament.
“When the opportunity presented itself to bring a player of Thomas’s skill and ability to our organization, we had to jump at it. The fact that we are bringing Thomas home to Wausau, to finish his junior career with the Cyclones is an added bonus. Thomas has had a ton of success in our league, and we hope that continues in a Cyclones jersey. Our goal at the beginning of every year is to win a Championship and by bringing Thomas in we believe we are adding another piece to the puzzle in bringing a Fraser Cup to Wausau. We are excited to have him home on our side and we can’t wait to see what he can do in a Clones jersey,” stated Head Coach & General Manager of Hockey Operations Nathan Oystrick.
