(WAUSAU, WI)- Wausau takes on the Wisconsin Woodsmen this Saturday, which will put a bow on the season series between the teams. The Cyclones have already secured the season series by winning five or the seven games to date, which could be important for potential playoff seeding should both teams finish the regular season with the same number of points and wins. Puck drops at 7:10pm on Saturday from Marathon Park on NAHLTV. The Cyclones are currently in 2nd place in the Central Division with an 23-9-2-1 record (49 points), while Wisconsin comes into action Friday night 19-9-4-3 (45 points).
Player to Watch
Cyclones forward Connor Dvorak has been on a heater since the Christmas break. In the eight games since, Dvorak has netted five goals and contributed three assists. His assist on Friday night put him in sole possession of the Cyclones all-time assists record (65) in 82 games.
Between the Pipes
Wausau is expected to start Tanner Bonjernoor in net this weekend. Bonjernoor has a 2.37 GAA and .917 save percentage in 21 games. His 16 wins is just one behind the lead league.
