Weekend Preview 12.8-12.9

(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones take on the Wisconsin Woodsmen this weekend at Marathon Park as Wausau seeks to extend their win streak and keep their perfect home record intact. Puck drops at 7:10pm Friday and Saturday and streams on NAHLTV. Wausau enters the weekend with an 16-5-0-0 record, which is good for 2nd place in the Central Division and fourth place Wisconsin enters the weekend with a 9-7-1-1 record. Wausau is currently three points behind first place West Bend.

What to Watch For

Wausau has had a well-balanced offensive attack this season and the numbers prove that out. The Cyclones have six skaters with 20 or more points this season and four skaters with ten plus goals. Leading the way is Gabe Randel with 36 points, which is good for 2nd in the entire NA3HL. Wausau has now won 14 of their last 16 games dating back to October 6th. 

Between the Pipes

Wausau is expected to start Collin Lemanski and Tanner Bonjernoor in net this weekend. Lemanski has a 2.00 GAA and .942 save percentage in 14 games. His record is currently 12-2 this year and the 12 wins leads the league. Bonjernoor sports a 2.17 GAA and .913 save percentage.
