Wausau, WI – The Cyclones have signed forward Landon Bechtolt, forward Anderson Brien, forward Brandon Piwko and goalie Bennett Reinhard to 2023-2024 tender agreements. Bechtolt spent his high school hockey career with Dayton Stealth in Ohio. During his senior season he scored 53 goals and had 63 assists in 49 games. Brien comes from the M-1 United Griffins in Michigan. The forward netted 25 goals and had 17 assists in 25 games this past season. Piwko joins the Cyclones after scoring 12 goals and contributed 17 assists in 25 games. Reinhard from Holy Family Catholic HS in Minnesota had a 2.38 GAA and .899 save percentage in 21 games.

“We are ecstatic that Landon chose to play for the Wausau Cyclones. Landon is a highly skilled, driven player who had a tremendous high school career and we are excited to bring him in to help his transition to Junior hockey and continue his development,” stated Head Coach/GM of Hockey Operations Nathan Oystrick.

“Anderson Brien is a skilled, motivated player that we are tremendously excited to bring into the organization. Anderson’s skill set and tools will help us in all facets of the game and we couldn’t be happier that he chose to continue his growth with the Wausau Cyclones,” stated Oystrick.

“Brandon is a hard nose, fearless player that competes every shift and does all of the little things well. We are looking forward to bringing Brandon’s mix of skill and tenacity to Wausau,” commented Oystrick.

“Bennet is a technically sound goalie, with great athleticism and strong fundamentals. He makes the saves he’s supposed and many he’s not. We are excited to be bringing him in to Wausau where he will have the opportunity to continue his growth and development, while competing for starts,” said Oystrick.
