(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones make the short drive down to West Bend, Wisconsin this weekend to battle with in-state rival Milwaukee Power. Wausau took five of eight games last season including clinching a playoff berth and ending Milwaukee’s postseason chances. Milwaukee comes into the weekend with a 2-3-1-0 record after splitting their series with Peoria last weekend. Wausau enters with a 2-2-0-0 record after sweeping St. Louis. This weekend series will conclude the Cyclones six consecutive road games to begin their schedule.

What to Watch For

Watch for Cyclones forward Gabe Randel to stay hot after earning NA3Hl Central Division Star of the Week. Randel leads the team with six points in just four games this season.

The Power are led by forward Max Erstad. Erstad has two goals and four assists in six games. Friday’s contest will be his 90th career NA3HL game in his third season in the league.

Between the Pipes

Wausau is expected to split the series between Mitch Miscevich and Ryan Burke. Miscevich surrendered three goals in the last Saturday in a win versus St. Louis. Burke allowed two goals on 35 shots in a win last Friday at St. Louis

The Power are expected to start Connor Carroll in net both games. Carroll has a .886 save percentage and 4.29 GAA in three games.
