Wausau, WI – The Wausau Cyclones are proud to announce that defenseman Derek Cagle has committed to play Division 1 (ACHA) college hockey at Missouri State University. Cagle, a native of St. Charles, Missouri played in 46 games this past season where he contributed 1 goal and 15 assists. Derek was named a NA3HL Top Prospect in February and was also recognized as the Central Division Star of the Week from January 3-9.
I’m excited for Derek to have the opportunity to continue his career at Missouri State. Derek has worked extremely hard for this, and I couldn’t be happier for him. His leadership skills and playmaking ability should be an immediate asset for them, and I can’t wait to see what Derek has in store for him over the next 4 years, ” stated Head Coach Colin Bailey.
