(Wausau, WI)- The Wausau Cyclones participated in the 2023 NA3HL Draft today as they build their roster for the 2023-24 season. Wausau selected forward Jack Roberts from Glencoe, IL with their 1st round pick, 28th overall. The selection was the Cyclones lone pick in the first round after trading the 7th overall pick to the Yellowstone Quake prior to the draft. Wausau also selected defenseman Shae Gavin, forward Jack Roberts, forward Devin Mcintrre, forward Henry Serafin and forward Trent Benedict. Below is a summary of the Cyclones 2023 draft selections.

Round 1, 28th Overall

Jack Roberts | Forward | Kent School | Glencoe, IL

2022-23 Season Stats: 10 goals and 13 assists in 26 games.

Round 2, 42nd Overall

Shae Gavin| Defenseman| Mantako East | Mantako, MN

2022-23 Season Stats: 16 goals and 21 assists in 27 games.

Round 2, 53th Overall

Jack Roberts| Forward| Chelsea High | Chelsea, MI

2022-23 Season Stats: 39 goals and 36 assists in 24 games.

Round 3, 77th Overall

Devin Mcintyre| Forward| Chelsea High | Chelsea, MI

2022-23 Season Stats: 38 goals and 33 assists in 24 games.

Round 4, 111th Overall

Henry Serafin| Forward| St. Louis University High | St. Louis, MO

2022-23 Season Stats: 18 goals and 19 assists in 44 games.

Round 4, 132nd Overall

Trent Benedict| Forward| Mona Shores High | Norton Shores, MI

2022-23 Season Stats: 21 goals and 23 assists in 28 games.

We are very happy and excited about the amount of talent we were able to acquire through the NA3HL Draft. Each player we drafted brings an element of skill that would help our organization immensely and we are hopeful that we will have the opportunity to watch them all play in a Cyclones jersey,” stated Head Coach & General Manager of Hockey Operations Nathan Oystrick.
