Wausau, WI – The Wausau RiverWolves have signed defenseman Nolan Gifford to a 2020-2021 contract. Gifford captained his St. Paul Academy program during the 2018-19 season, which saw the skilled defenseman notch 13 goals and 11 assists in 26 games. Last season he was a member of the University of North Dakota ACHA II program. Gifford tallied 7 goals and 9 assists in 22 games.  Gifford is a native of Lino Lakes, Minnesota.

“We are extremely excited to be adding Nolan to our lineup. He was a high priority player of ours during the recruiting efforts this summer. We expect him to play a critical role for our team by bringing leadership experience and great skill along with him,” stated Head Coach Colin Bailey.

The RiverWolves are members of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL), one of three USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier III Junior leagues, serves as one of the top training grounds in the country by providing the best coaching, exposure and developmental vehicles available for student-athletes in its classification.
