(WAUSAU, WI)- Wausau takes on the Wisconsin Woodsmen this weekend with a crucial four points at stake. Puck drops at 7:10pm on Friday and Saturday from Marathon Park on NAHLTV. The Cyclones are currently in 2nd place in the Central Division with an 21-9-2-1 record, while Wisconsin comes into action Friday night 19-7-4-3, which puts them in 3rd place. Both teams have 45 points on the season, but Wausau currently holds the head-to-head tiebreaker having won three of five matchups this season. Wausau is just three points out of first with 14 regular season games remaining. Just two of the 14 games will be played away from Marathon Park.
Player to Watch
Cyclones forward Brady Knutsen has put together a very solid stretch of games since the December 21st game at Tomah. Knutsen has scored three goals and contributed one assist in those seven games. He is currently just four points away from becoming the sixth Cyclones to reach 30 points this season.
Between the Pipes
Wausau is expected to start Tanner Bonjernoor and Dereck Namlick in net this weekend. Bonjernoor has a 2.47 GAA and .912 save percentage in 19 games. Namlick sports a 3.08 GAA and .905 save percentage in 10 games.
