Wausau, WI – RiverWolves’ defenseman Max Bembinster has been named Great Northern Conference Player of the Year and 1st team All-Conference. Bembinster played in five games during the RiverWolves 17-18 season and will join the RiverWolves following the conclusion of his high school hockey season. The current Tomahawk Hatchet has played in 19 games this year, while contributing 10 goals and 22 assists.

” I am humbled by the Conference Player of the Year award. I can’t take all the credit for this accomplishment as I couldn’t achieve the things I do without the support from my team,” stated Bembinster.

Join the Wausau RiverWolves on February 8th at 7:30 p.m.  for the Teddy Bear Toss game as they take on the Milwaukee Power at Marathon Park. All fans are encouraged to bring a new/gently used Teddy Bear(s) to that game and when the RiverWolves score their first goal of the game fans throw their Teddy Bear(s) onto the ice to benefit kids in North-Central Wisconsin!
