(Wausau, WI)- The Wausau RiverWolves took on the New Ulm Steel at Marathon Park Ice Area for the second night in a row while the RiverWolves hosted Fan Appreciate Night for the last regular season home game of the 2017-2018 season.

The Wausau RiverWolves were again unable to score a goal in the first period in tonight’s contest.  After the second period, again the RiverWolves were shut out, as New Ulm had a 4 to 0 lead heading into the 3rd period.  Austin Burgener was able to snap the scoring drought at the 6:13 mark of the 3rd with an assist coming from Tristen Hultberg.  Next, Matt Irwin was able to score his 36th goal of the season at the 8:37 mark with assists coming from Austin Burgener and Sean Johnston.  Starting in goal was Hudson, WI native Henry Baribeau who stopped 45 shots on the night.
