(Wausau, WI)- The Wausau RiverWolves took on the Wisconsin Whalers at Marathon Park Ice Arena.  The Whalers stand ahead one spot of Wausau in the Central Division standings with 26 points and the RiverWolves have 13.

The Wausau RiverWolves were only able to notch two goals in tonight’s contest.  Scoring Wausau’s first goal was Owen Routheut coming at the 3:59 mark in the second period.  Wausau’s last goal of the night also came in the second period tonight from Ryan Hempel who scored at the 12:52 mark.  Starting in goal tonight for the RiverWolves was Hudson, Wisconsin native Henry Baribeau who faced 65 shots and 60 saves on a busy Friday night.

The Wausau RiverWolves will be back in action at Marathon Park Wednesday February 7 for a 7 p.m.  puck drop for another matchup against the Wisconsin Whalers.
