(Wausau, WI)- The Wausau RiverWolves took on the Peoria Mustangs at Marathon Park Ice Arena.  This was game two of the weekend series with Peoria taking both games on the weekend.

The Wausau RiverWolves scoring came late in this contest, with all three goals coming in the 3rd period of play.  Matt Irwin tallied the first goal for Wausau which came at the 8:53 mark, this is Matt’s 17th goal on the season and currently leads the team in the goals.  Jake Rudloff, native of De Pere, WI suited up for his first game as a Wausau RiverWolf and was able to get a goal at the 11:24 mark in the 3rd period.  The last goal for the RiverWolves came from Michael Alfonso at the 13:45 mark.  Starting in goal tonight for Wausau was Christian Sanzottera who played the first two periods and came out for the 3rd due to injury, and was replaced by Henry Baribeau, together the two stopped 63 shots on the night.

The Wausau RiverWolves will be back on home ice January 12th and 13th for a weekend series against the Breezy Point North Stars, both games are set for a 7p.m. puck drop.
