(WAUSAU, WI)- The RiverWolves hit road for their final two road games of the season as they take on the first-place Rochester Grizzlies Thursday and Friday night at 7:05pm on HockeyTV.  Wausau is coming off a series split last weekend versus Oregon.

What to Watch For

Keep an eye on the production of the line with Hayden Shoemake, Tommy Raith and Pavel Bakhtin. In the last five games they have produced a combined three goals and six assists. Another skater that has come on strong in his last five games is Trey Bociek. The forward has three goals and four assists since the March 4th contest versus Rochester.

Rochester currently holds a 32-5-0-1 record after sweeping Milwaukee last weekend. The Grizzlies are led by third year NA3HL player Peyton Hart. Hart has 20 goals and 23 assists in 38 games. Eight of his 43 points have come in games vs Wausau. The Delafield, Wisconsin native recently committed to play Division III college hockey at UW-Stout.

Between the Pipes

Caleb Sauer and Joseph La Forge are expected to split time in net. Sauer has a 4-11-1 record with a .894 save percentage. La Forge has a .889 save percentage in 16 games this season.

The Grizzlies are expected to split time with Shane Soderwell and Zach Wiese. Both goaltenders have a goals against average below 1.88.

Tonight’s game will be in Oregon, with a 7:30 pm start time, and tomorrow the Riverwolves return home for a 7:10 game. The RiverWolves are 2-6 vs the Tradesmen so far and they will be looking to steal the game on the road tonight. The Tradesmen are currently 4th in the Central Division,

What to Watch For

RiverWolves forward Tommy Raith has been on a tear recently. In his last 12 games, Raith has scored six goals and two assists. Raith, native of Winnetka, IL, has eight total points on the year, and is also a commit to St. Olaf College. The RiverWolves will be without one of their top forwards for the remainder of the season. Ethan Cumming suffered a hard injury in last Saturday night’s loss to Milwaukee.

The Tradesmen currently boast a 14-18 record. Oregon is led by the duo of Parker Severson, of Saginaw, MI, and Sam VanderHoeven, of Beaver Dam, WI. Severson has 18 goals and 18 assists in 27 games, and VanderHoeven has 18 goals and 16 assists in 32 games.

Between the Pipes

Caleb Sauer and Joseph La Forge are expected to split time in net this weekend for the RiverWolves. Sauer has turned back 614 of 692 shots for an 88.7% save percentage.

The Tradesmen are expected to split time between Hunter Adams and Cole Garver in net this weekend. Adams is a native of Arlington, TX, and has an 89.2% save percentage, and Garver, of Madison, WI, has a 91.2% save percentage.

Tonight’s game is away at Milwaukee with a game time of 7 pm, and Saturday’s game will be home at Marathon Park at 7:10 pm. The RiverWolves are looking to get back into the win column this weekend after a rough stretch of games. Wausau is currently 2-4 vs Milwaukee in the season series.

What to Watch For

RiverWolves forward Isaac Wickersheim was one of two goal scorers for the RiverWolves in last night’s loss to Rochester. Wickersheim, native of Antigo, WI, has been consistent all year for the RiverWolves, tallying a team leading 12 goals.

The Milwaukee Power are currently 5th in the Central Division. They come into Friday’s action with a 9-26 record and are currently on a seven-game skid. The Power are led by Tyler Nelson, of Pleasanton, CA. Nelson is averaging 0.86 points per game, with eight goals and 22 assists.

Joseph La Forge, native of Kenosha, and Caleb Sauer, from Waupun, WI, are expected to split time in goal this weekend for The RiverWolves. La Forge has a 88.7% save percentage, meanwhile Sauer has a 89.3% save percentage.

The Power are expected to split time between Cole Shane and Ewan McDevitt. Shane has a 89.6% save percentage and McDevitt holds a 91.5% save percentage.

They travel to Milwaukee Friday night for a 7 o’clock game before coming home for a showdown at 7:10 on Saturday. Wausau is currently 1-4 vs Milwaukee, with the lone win coming at home with a final of 2-3. The RiverWolves are only two games behind Milwaukee in the rankings, so this weekend will be vital in gaining some ground back.

Trade Winds

The RiverWolves have just acquired Trey Bess in a trade with the Milwaukee Power. Trey is a native of Chicago, IL, and has played in 19 games so far this season. He is averaging 0.58 points per game, with 5 assists and 6 goals, including one game winner. The RiverWolves are looking for an immediate impact from Trey.

The Milwaukee Power are currently 5th in the Central Division. They boast a 4-16 record and are currently on an 8-game skid. Milwaukee is led by Teddy Marion, of Franklin, WI, and Tyler Nelson, of Pleasanton, CA. Teddy is currently averaging 0.89 points per game, with 6 goals and 11 assists. Nelson is averaging 0.80 points per game, with 4 goals and 12 assists.

Joseph La Forge, native of Kenosha, and Caleb Sauer, from Waupun, WI, are expected to split time in goal this weekend for The RiverWolves. La Forge recorded a perfect 55-save shutout vs The Tradesmen in route to a 2-0 victory on October 9th to earn him the Central Division Star of the Week from NA3HL. La Forge has turned back 402 of 455 shots so far this year for an 88.4% save percentage.

The RiverWolves recently acquired Caleb Sauer from the SIJHL Thief River Falls Norskis, and he boasted a 90% save percentage in 21 games.

The Power are expected to split time between Cole Shane, and Jackson Broussard in net this weekend. Cole Shane, from Park Ridge, IL, has a 90.3% save percentage and Jackson Broussard, from Colorado Springs, CO, boasts an 89.3% save percentage.
