RiverWolves Lose 6-4 Against the La Crosse Freeze

(Wausau, WI)- The Wausau Riverwolves took on the La Crosse Freeze at Marathon Park Ice Arena.  This is the 5th consecutive game between the two teams dating back to October 20th.

The RiverWolves got their first goal at the 14:10 mark of the first period.  Scoring the lone goal for the RiverWolves in the first was Matt Irwin who is a native of Roseville, Minnesota.  The next goal for Wausau was Devin Hultberg at the 7:39 mark in the second period, with assists coming from Michael Alfonso and Garret Alton.  Sean Johnston got another goal at the 14:36 mark which was assisted by Barak Board and Ben Brown.   Matt Irwin was able to get his second goal of the game, and fifth goal of the season late in the 3rd period at the 8:43 mark.  Tristan Slot and Michael Alfonso were credited with the assists.  In goal tonight for the RiverWolves was Jackson Fazendin from Wayzata, Minnesota, he finished the night with a total of 27 saves.

The Wausau RiverWolves will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to La Crosse to take on the Freeze for the 6th consecutive game.  The next home game is Friday November 17th against the Evansville Thunderbirds for a 7:05 pm puck drop.
