Wausau, WI – The Wausau Cyclones are pleased to announce the hiring of Taylor Carey as Goalie Coach and Scout. Carey will oversee goaltenders, coaching them through video and on ice sessions. He will also assist in player development, player recruiting and game/practice strategy.

“Taylor brings a wealth of knowledge with him and we are very excited that he has chosen to a part of the Wausau Cyclones. Taylor has been working with goalies and coaching for the past 9 years and has made a large impact on a lot of young men’s lives. He has helped develop goalies such as Cooper Black from Dartmouth College (NCAA) and Dillon Kelly with the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL). I feel very lucky and fortunate that we were able to bring on Taylor and his vast hockey knowledge,” stated Head Coach & General Manager of Hockey Operations Nathan Oystrick.

“We are excited to bring Taylor into the Wausau Cyclones family. Taylor comes to us with high regard in the hockey community and his resume of player development, specifically goaltenders, will align with the goals we have for our players and coaching staff,” stated Cyclones Hockey Ownership.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to help build something special in Wausau this upcoming year with the staff and ownership group. I can’t wait to get there and meet the goalies, team, staff, fans and community,” stated Taylor Carey
