(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones and Oregon Tradesmen will match-up for the final time during the 2022-23 regular season Friday and Saturday night at Marathon Park. Wausau enters the weekend looking to continue their better play as of late having won 4 of 5 games. Wausau is currently in 5th place in the Central Division with at 10-20-3-0 record. Oregon enters the weekend tied for first place with a 23-5-3-1 record after splitting a series with Peoria.

What to Watch For

Keep an eye on the Cyclones scoring in the 1st period this weekend. The Clones are 4-10-1-0 when trailing after the 1st period this season. Wausau is hasn’t lost when leading after the 1st frame. After another solid weekend for Ricky Nelson and Gabe Randel that saw them, each contribute two points they are now within three and four points respectively from taking over the team point leader title.

The Tradesmen are led by forward Bryce Stensrud. Stensrud has 20 goals and 23 assists in 32 games. He has just seven games where he didn’t get on the score sheet.

Between the Pipes

Wausau is expected to split the series between Mitch Miscevich and Ryan Burke. Miscevich currently has a 3.76 GAA and .896 save percentage. Burke enters the weekend with a 3.41 GAA and .911 save percentage.

The Tradesmen are expected to start Tyler Fromolz and Connor Carroll. Fromolz has a .916 save percentage and Carroll sports a .919.
