(WAUSAU, WI)- The Cyclones head to Blaine, Minnesota for the NA3HL Showcase next week looking for some wins to help turn their season around. Wausau comes into the week with a (5-16-3-0) record. Sunday, December 18th the Cyclones take on the (11-13-1-0) Great Falls Americans at 6:45pm. Monday, December 19th, the Cyclones take on the (14-12-2-0) Atlanta Capitals at 12:15pm and conclude the showcase Tuesday versus the Minnesota Loons at 3pm.

What to Watch For

Watch for some high scoring opening periods at the showcase with the unfamiliar opponents matching up. Another item to watch for is whether or not the Cyclones turn around their power play next week. The team was 0 for 13 on the man advantage last weekend versus Alexandria and ranks 22nd out of the 34 NA3HL teams. The final thing to watch for is Wausau getting pucks on net. Wausau currently ranks 30th in the NA3HL in shots per game with 28.13. Their showcase opponent’s rank 15th (Great Falls), 7th (Atlanta) and 28th (Minnesota).

The Americans are led by William Fallman and Alex Leaf with 23 points each.

Nick Jameus leads the Capitals with 15 goals and 49 assists in 28 games played.

Dmitri Kuleshov is the Loons top scorer with 11 goals and 10 assists.

Between The Pipes

Cyclones are expected to split up the showcase games between their three goalies. Combined Mitch Miscevich, Ryan Burke and Owen Reeve have a .894 save percentage and goals against average of 4.11.
