(WAUSAU, WI)- This weekend the RiverWolves have a home and home against the Milwaukee Power. They travel to Milwaukee Friday night for a 7 o’clock game before coming home for a showdown at 7:10 on Saturday. Wausau is currently 1-4 vs Milwaukee, with the lone win coming at home with a final of 2-3. The RiverWolves are only two games behind Milwaukee in the rankings, so this weekend will be vital in gaining some ground back.

Trade Winds

The RiverWolves have just acquired Trey Bess in a trade with the Milwaukee Power. Trey is a native of Chicago, IL, and has played in 19 games so far this season. He is averaging 0.58 points per game, with 5 assists and 6 goals, including one game winner. The RiverWolves are looking for an immediate impact from Trey.

The Milwaukee Power are currently 5th in the Central Division. They boast a 4-16 record and are currently on an 8-game skid. Milwaukee is led by Teddy Marion, of Franklin, WI, and Tyler Nelson, of Pleasanton, CA. Teddy is currently averaging 0.89 points per game, with 6 goals and 11 assists. Nelson is averaging 0.80 points per game, with 4 goals and 12 assists.

Between the Pipes

Joseph La Forge, native of Kenosha, and Caleb Sauer, from Waupun, WI, are expected to split time in goal this weekend for The RiverWolves. La Forge recorded a perfect 55-save shutout vs The Tradesmen in route to a 2-0 victory on October 9th to earn him the Central Division Star of the Week from NA3HL. La Forge has turned back 402 of 455 shots so far this year for an 88.4% save percentage.

The RiverWolves recently acquired Caleb Sauer from the SIJHL Thief River Falls Norskis, and he boasted a 90% save percentage in 21 games.

The Power are expected to split time between Cole Shane, and Jackson Broussard in net this weekend. Cole Shane, from Park Ridge, IL, has a 90.3% save percentage and Jackson Broussard, from Colorado Springs, CO, boasts an 89.3% save percentage.
