Wausau, WI – The Wausau Riverwolves (NA3HL) Colin Brey, a 6 ft. 2 in. 200 lb. defenseman, has committed to play ACHA D1 hockey for Northern Illinois University. Brey was a Pre-Post player for the Riverwolves during the 2018-19 season. He started in 14 games and contributed (1g, 2a).  During his Senior season at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln H.S.  Brey netted 20 total points.

“I’ll definitely miss Wausau. I met a lot of great people and will always be grateful to the Wausau Riverwolves organization for developing my skills. Plus letting me play hockey in front of the awesome fans. I’m excited to play high level college hockey at NIU with their move to the D1 level and the new Midwest College Hockey Conference while pursuing a degree in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching. NIU seemed like the best fit for me and had everything I was looking for to attend college. I would also like to thank their coaching staff for recruiting me,” stated Brey.
