(Wausau, WI)- The Wausau RiverWolves have announced their 2018-2019 roster on the eve of their Home Opener at Marathon Park Ice Arena. The roster includes ten Wisconsin natives in F Garrett Alton (Racine), F Pheniox Engum (Green Bay), F Alex Piotrowski (Green Bay), F Casey Hayek (Wisconsin Rapids), F James Pawlicki (Merrill), D Ben Brown (Merrill), D Santana Pinkert (Green Bay), D Colin Brey (Wisconsin Rapids), D Max Bembinster (Tomahawk) and D Cale Bowman (Wausau).

The roster also features players from seven other states including Tennessee, Ohio, Wyoming, Minnesota, Illinois, North Dakota and South Dakota. Forward Daniel Hrebik the lone foreign-born player from Zdiby, Czech Republic.

“I am very excited and eager to see these young men come together on the ice for our first game. All the pieces of the puzzle on our roster have finally come together during our rigorous two-a-days training camp. I am pumped to be a part of a great team of owners and front office staff. It’s been an awesome learning experience and I can’t wait to see what the season has in store for us,” Head Coach Tom Murphy stated.

The RiverWolves will open their season this Friday, September 28th at Marathon Park Ice Arena. The RiverWolves are members of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL), one of three USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier III Junior leagues, serves as one of the top training grounds in the country by providing the best coaching, exposure and developmental vehicles available for student-athletes in its classification.  The primary mission of the NA3HL is to provide a structured developmental environment for student-athletes who have aspirations of playing in the NAHL or United States Hockey League and eventually the NCAA or American College Hockey Association.  For more information, visit riverwolveshockey.com.
