Wausau , WI- The Wausau RiverWolves took on the Rochester Ice Hawks on Wednesday January 17 at Marathon Park.  The RiverWolves come into this game at 4th place in the Central Division, just ahead of the Ice Hawks who sit at 5th.

The Wausau RiverWolves scoring didn’t get started until the second period in tonight’s game, scoring first for Wausau was Connor Moore who netted his goal at the 1:36 mark.  The next goal from the RiverWolves came from Austin Burgener who scored unassisted at the 10:23 mark of the third period.  Stephen MacDonald, newly acquired player from the NAHL Janesville Jets notched his first goal in a RiverWolf uniform at the 18:57 mark of the third.  The last goal on the night came from Janne Rukamp who scored a late third period goal to close out the game.  In goal, starting for Wausau was Henry Baribeau who was able to save 29 shots and get his 5th win on the year.

The Wausau RiverWolves will be back in action at Marathon Park Friday February 2nd for the Kristo Orthodontic Howler Bobblehead night give away for the first 500 fans!
